H. MID-TERM/FINAL
EXAM GRADING - Infinite Campus
Quarters 2 and 4 Addendum
Quarter 2
is somewhat unique in that many of our courses require Mid-Term grades or, for
half year courses, Final Exam grades.
Again in quarter 4, many courses require Final Exam grades. The following steps will help to
clarify how to enter ANY Mid-Term and/or Final Exam/Regents
grades for any course which may require them. In this example, we will enter Mid-Term grades for a
physics course.
PLEASE
NOTE: Entering regular Quarter
grades for quarters 2 and 4 is not different than before. Please refer to previous ÒQUARTER
GRADINGÓ hand-out for step by step instructions.
A) Ð
Navigating ÒGrading By TaskÓ

STEP 1 Ð Choose your class
Using the
dropdown box.
STEP 2 Ð
Expand the ÒInstructionÓ
module by clicking on the word or
the
Ò+Ó sign.
STEP 3 Ð
Select ÒGrading By TaskÓ
by clicking
on the words.

STEP 4 Ð
Use the drop down menu to select the task you wish to grade.
Note: When you drop this box down, you will
notice that you have a variety of ÒtasksÓ available to select from. The tasks for your course are specific
to your course and therefore may NOT be the same tasks available for other
courses. For example, if your full
year course culminates in a Regents Exam, you should see a task called ÒQ4 -
RegentsÓ. If your full year course culminates in
a school final, you might find a task that will say ÒQ4 - Final ExamÓ.
38
You will
notice that all tasks are associated with a particular quarter. This is necessary for the computer to
make a FSM calculation.

This
picture shows all tasks available for a full year Physics course. Remember,
your tasks may varyÉ
We will select ÒQ2 - Mid-Term
Exam.Ó
Other tasks
may be chosen at various times during the year (based on which quarter we are
presently grading in) and will depend on your specific course.
B) Ð
Entering a score (same process as any numeric grading)

4
STEP 1
Ð Type in the score in the ÒPercentÓ field.
3 2 1

![]()
STEP 2 Ð Use the drop down box to
enter the same score in the ÒScoreÓ field.
STEP 3 Ð
Repeat for each student.
STEP 4 Ð
Save.
NOTE Ð Make
sure to leave the ÒCommentsÓ field blank for all students. Also, be sure to check that the score assigned in the ÒPercentÓ column matches the ÒScoreÓ column as above.
FINAL NOTE Ð
It may seem redundant to have to enter Quarter Grades separately from Mid-Terms
or Finals, but the computer needs to treat them as separate tasks in order to
calculate Final School Marks.
