A Note About the New York State Regents...

At Shaker High School, every eleventh grade student must sit for the Comprehensive English Regents Exam. Non-special education students must pass the Regents in order to graduate. Special Education students may take and pass an alternate reading and writing exam if necessary.

Shaker High School students who do not pass the Regents exam in grade 11 will be assigned to AIS in grade 12. Students who are in jeopardy of not passing the Regents exam may be assigned to AIS the second semester of grade 11.
