STAGES OF THE MEALWORM
 
 
1.  egg   - very small, hatches into a wormlike larva in one to two weeks
2. larva  -  wormlike, very small at first, will eat and eat and grow, will molt (shed  its skin) 
               mnay times, lasts aboyt 10 weeks 
3. pupa  -  a case, does not eat or move, inside insect parts are rebuilt into the adult
4.  adult  -  called a darkling bettle, soft and pale at first, later skins darkens and hardens,

STAGES OF THE FRUIT FLY
 
 
1    egg - called the yolk inside the egg, it chews through the egg to get out
2.  larva - clear, has mouth hooks to drag itself toward food, spins a pupa around itself 
3.  pupa -  light color but will get brown and dark and shape gets bigger
4.  adult -  fruit fly, seeks fruit, will lay eggs
