Did you know that tropical rainforests have been around for at least 50 million years! Yet within the next 50 years, we may well eliminate their existence through activities such as logging, cattle ranching, and over-population. Also, it is estimated that there are more than 2 million species that no one has yet identified! Maybe YOU can go discover a new species. But be sure to take your climbing shoes. It's said that up to 40% of the earth's species live in the treetops of the tropical rainforest. On this field trip, you will learn about rainforests, why they are important, what makes a rainforest a rainforest, where on earth they are, and some things you can do to help save the rainforests.
